Simple Lip Gloss

Make a Simple Lip Gloss

To make a super shiny gloss with our Jojoba Gloss requires very little time and effort. The following simple formula will make approximately 10 grams which will fill one of our larger clear containers or two dial up or click pens. To make more, multiply the recipe by the number of tubes you want.

Jojoba Gloss

7.0 grams
Liquid Oil (Castor or Jojoba are good choices)
3 grams
Micas
1-2 large scoops
Pigment
1-2 small scoops
Flavor Oil
to liking (usually 1-5 drops)

Instructions:
1. Measure out your oils and gloss into a metal container

 Measure out Oils

2. Add your pigments. If you use Micas only you will get a translucent gloss. For more depth add one of our pigments such as red oxide or one of the reds. Add only a tiny bit as a little goes a very long way.

Add your colors

3. Mix it all together.

4. If it is too thick to draw up into a syringe or pour into a container heat the mixture up over the stove. Do not put the pan directly on to the stove.  When the mixture starts to get runny draw it up into a pipette, syringe or small pouring container. Add your flavor oil after you have taken it from the heat as they are usually flammable.

5 Decant it into the container, let it cool and then cap it.
