Liquid Eyeliner with Provitamin B5 and Meadowfoam Seed Oil
Our Wondergel™ provides thickening and pigment dispersion in this formula in addition to a smooth application. In the water phase I use Witch Hazel distillate with 14% alcohol (available in any pharmacy) for two reasons. The alcohol not only helps preserve the water phase it also helps the eyeliner to dry quickly after application. You may feel warmth upon applying which disappears when it dries.

Instructions Method 1 Warm the Witch Hazel to 70° C. Sprinkle the Wondergell™ and pigments over the Witch Hazel. Add the Provitamin B5 (optional). Mix vigorously until a thick gel has formed. Mix the oxides into the gel till well dispersed.
Warm your oil phase to 70° C, or till the ingredients are melted. Mix them directly into your gel. Make sure they are well dispersed.
Draw the gel into a syringe or pipette and inject into the eyeliner containers. Make sure the gel is completely cooled before you put the plugs and caps on.
*Special Note: you can never be too careful when making eye products. Even though in theory your eyeliner brush and container should be clean my suggestion is to still spray the plug and brush with alcohol. Your preservative of choice should have been tested and safe for eye products.
