A build up of dead skin cells causes a rough and dull appearance. Removing the top layers of desiccated cells oxygenates the skin and speeds up cell growth, promoting a youthful, glowing appearance. Our exfoliates may be mixed into body polishes, soaps, facial cleansers and so on, to polish the skin.
- Almond meal and Jojoba meal retain some of the natural nut oil and retain lubricating and moisturizing properties.
- Poppy Seeds are good for body and foot scrubs but too large of a grain size for most facial complexions.
- Sandalwood Powder is too abrasive for most body applications but may be infused into oil for a lovely sandalwood scent or burned in incense mixtures.
- Jojoba wax esters are recognized for their skin care properties. The chemical structure of Jojoba oil is similar to human sebum. These perfectly round fine wax beads are formed from pure jojoba. They are excellent for a mild scrub. Because they are so fine you can scrub vigorously without suffering from skin irritation. They have both a polishing effect and also moisturizing effect. As the wax beads are warmed by the skin they melt into the skin to give it a glow.
